Hello! I am a book and story editor, and I provide developmental editing, line editing, and copy editing services.
For my entire life, I have loved books, words, and language. I love the way words make us think and feel. I love that books give you a window into a story or a world that you would not otherwise know about. Sometimes a book entertains me and makes me laugh, sometimes it teaches me about a person or place, and sometimes it makes me think and wonder and feel about something new and interesting. Books and words have always enriched my life and filled my inner world.
As an editor, I want to help you to tell the story you want to share with the world. Maybe you are imagining a fictional world — a romance, a work of contemporary or literary fiction, a fantasy, or something else. Maybe you are telling a personal story that has great meaning to you — a memoir or an essay. Whatever your goal is for your written work, I will help you to make it the very best that it can be.
I want to help you to create the book or story that you are envisioning. I will always ask you what your goals are for for your written work, what areas you would like me to pay special attention to, and what questions you have.
I pride myself on communicating with authors with kindness. I will always give you constructive feedback and honest insights. However, I always try to be considerate of the person that I’m communicating with, and to share my thoughts and feedback in a sensitive and thoughtful way.
